Today was the second practice session for my upcoming church camp. We finished practicing all 36 songs in two days so I was pleased. It wasn't fully up to 100%standard but we have another session on Friday or maybe two sessions more to perfect everything with John (youth leader) there too!
But another event is coming up, well another opportunity I would say. A Christian arts festival/talent thing! Our youth worship team hasn't decided yet if we should go...there are mixed feelings at the moment between many members. Some believe that it is too competiton like and to glorify God...there shouldn't be such restrictions, but in another perspective they believe that it will be good opportunity as long as God remains the centre of attention throughout everything. Our team is excellent musically, and we even took part in a special performance ft. Funtwo, praising the Lord. It felt a bit of a performance like...but we all strived to look unto God and only him during the worship...and now we have another dilemma whether we take part in the Talent festival..
It is my last year being in Auckland and some think we should make the most of it now...some believe that it is just to show off, so...many different perspectives on the same matter...but we continue praying as a team to find out what Gods purpose is..
I prayed tonight and believe I got a message from God. A message that God should be the center of everything, focus the performance on God and to glorify Him, and Him only! I believe in this and agree too...so right now, I think it'll be good to go, to participate as well as worship.
Other thoughts that influence right now...this girl is there and yeah influences right now :/ she's someone I look up to and she's partaking in this event...I want to talk to her and ask...but we're not very close, just friendly from afar >< ...anyways that's whats on my mind.
Prayers for tonight:
1) for my team, they're busy with many preparstions but I believe God will help us overcome th physical obstacles and will put our mind and soul to Him. Focus everything we have to glorify God.
2) for a teacher/missionary that takes care of our team, she's also busy and I pray to strengthen her and bless her for the continuous support she has provided towards the church and team.
3) for a youth leader, John, he has upcoming tests and hasn't been able to attend the practice sessions recently. Pray for him to do well in tests and bless him for support to the team regardless of his exam timetables and absence.
4) for myself, I want to have a clear vision, to focus only on God...I feel not 100%sure right now, how to act..I am the leader and I need to be sorted first before being able to help others...I pray that I can see him as the centre and never to forget that he is our shepherd, our leader in life.

"For it is God who works in you to will and to act accordingly to his good purpose"
Matthew 6:33
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"
Believe that everything that's happening is Gods purpose, whether it is good or bad. It is all for God's good purpose as long as you accept him and allow him to act in your life!
